Inspired by the colours of autumn that surround me in the Adelaide Hills, this one of one necklace has been crafted using 1g of recycled sterling silver which has been melted down to a molten dome of metal. This is then hammered flat to create the canvas - an 8mm x 9mm disc*

A garnet and 2 yellow-orange sapphires are flush set into the pendant, and finished with a beading style detail around the edges. This detail catches additional light reflections, allowing for more shine.

Finished on a 45cm fine chain, also crafted from sterling silver, this necklace is ready to wear. Perfect for pairing with a neutral coloured knit in the colder months, but created to be worn year round. 

This is a one of a kind necklace, and as it has been handcrafted and uses natural gemstones, an exact recreation is not possible.


I have done my best to capture the colour of these gemstones, however it is important to note that differences in lighting will change their appearance. Photos and videos have been captured indoors in natural lighting (no overhead/ additional lighting).

Materials

Australian 9ct Solid Gold
I have chosen to use 9ct for my solid gold range because not only do I want to create beautiful, meaningful jewellery, I want you to be able to wear it! The lower carat means these pieces are durable enough for daily wear.

Sterling Silver
Whether it’s recycled or new, sterling silver is another great material for daily wear.

Both the Solid Gold and Sterling Silver ranges are now made using Australian mined metals to reduce my footprint and keep as much of my business on Australian soil as I can.

Care Instructions

Australian 9ct Solid Gold
Durable enough for daily wear, you don’t need to remove these for showering, swimming, etc. however, if you are someone who enjoy frequent, long swims in chlorinated water, please don’t wear this jewellery while you do! Overexposure to chlorine will weaken the soldered joins leading to breakage.
If your solid gold piece needs the shine restored, use the complimentary gold polishing cloth to rub the surface vigorously (while dry) and gently pull the chain through a folded section of the cloth. If you have a stamped piece and are finding dirt getting trapped in the impression, using an extra soft bristle toothbrush and mild soap with gentle pressure can dislodge it.

Sterling Silver
New and recycled Sterling Silver require the same care. These pieces are suitable for daily wear. If you are swimming frequently in chlorinated water for extended periods of time, please remove all jewellery. The chlorine will degrade the soldered joints and cause breakage.
If you find your jewellery needs the shine restored, use the included silver polishing cloth. A gentle clean with an extra soft bristle toothbrush and mild soap is also an effective way to remove any dirt from pieces with an impression that has trapped dirt.
If you are not wearing your Sterling Silver jewellery for a period of time, store it in an airtight container/ziplock bag to prevent tarnishing. If it does tarnish, a vigorous rub with the polishing cloth will clean it.

Each piece is handmade to order, and although the majority are posted in 2-3 days, please allow up to 1 week from placing your order for it to be dispatched.
